| Director Compensation & Benefits | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | In the name of low labor costs we've shipped industries we
invented (communications equipment, steel, automotive
manufacturing) overseas and traded the assets that would sustain
us long-term in favor of cash then invested in cash rather than
assets. With one bear market - where has it all gone? The one hope I have for our economy is going back to the original model of capitalism; where those who employed capital (which was often their own) developed a product, manufactured and sold it and then re-invested in that business and other assets - rather than stocks and derivatives - will re-emerge rather than the model we've come to adopt of a non-invested employee chairman who comes in with buyouts up front and golden parachutes on the back-end while never having the gut-level investment of blood, sweat and tears that the companies creators had. I'll trade a robber baron for a celebrity CEO any day, but hope that we'll learn and evolve in the fact that we have a global economy and sustainability (economic, not just environmental) is the key in the 21st century. I went to the Obama rally last night as a capitalist and my feelings rating went up from a 3 to a 5. If they take more taxes and invest it in infrastructure and the fundamentals then they will help us, but we'll have to wait and see. |
| CFO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 1 | Goodbye capitalism, hello socialism. Somehow we capitalists and our Republican Party, got high jacked by religious fanatics while the Democratic Party was high jacked by socialists. Not a pretty outcome. |
| President and CEO | McCain/Palin | Iraq/Afghanistan | Economic Policy | 1 | It appears that a majority of those who voted have little or no understanding of the basic tenets of capitalism, or how and what differentiates this great nation from the rest of the world. We are a great nation because we have allowed personal achievement and the rewards of personal achievement to flourish. We have a freedom to become whatever we desire and work to become, we have not been tied to socialist (or communist) doctrine. We have been "the home of the brave and the land of the free," and in one fell swoop, that very well may be disappearing. |
| President, CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Economic Policy | 8 | I believed in John McCain until he made the mistake of
choosing Palin. I have been a Republican all my life - watched
as Bush and the Party got totally off track and felt John McCain
would pull it all back together - until he became a lackey to
the far right. I wish Obama well. I am hoping he will be a centrist. |
| SVP | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Economic Policy | 7 | Wish you had another option for "most important" influence for ballot cast - namely, credibility of the candidates to tackle ALL the difficult issues facing our country; Republicans failed in presenting a compelling team. |
| President | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Party Loyalty | 5 | We need to get our country's affairs in order and be the symbol of strength the world over. |
| VP Business Operations | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | I am concerned about the socialist agenda of Obama and the Liberal Democrats. They possess the real potential to destroy our country from the inside out. Our ideals, values and our Constitution. I am very concerned about the future. I am concerned about our competitiveness as a nation in business and industry. The role of Unions that they (Liberals) seem to want to increase, the direction of taxes not just income taxes, but all taxes... The influence of the environmentalists on our National Energy crisis and the impact on coal, natural gas, nuclear power and electricity production. There are so many potential disasters waiting to happen. I just hope Obama will move to the center in his style of governing and leadership. I will believe it when I see it happening. Oh yeah, let's not forget national healthcare....Oh my gosh,...letting the gov't dictate that will be yet another disaster. |
| COO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 8 | This was the first time I have voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate. I believe it was time for change in leadership and I think with this change we will infuse government with some longer term strategic thinking. The Republican leadership has gone downhill, and is confused. They were not ready for the assignment and essentially had to be fired. The American people spoke and fired the Republicans. They deserved it. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Party Loyalty | 3 | We, as a nation, have clearly served to the middle, the C-
average, what I call the "Wal-Mart syndrome"...let me get my
little personal needs met as quickly and as cheaply as possible
regardless of the macro implications or larger issues at play.
Can one man, black or white, correct the complex issues confronting our country? You and I, and other committed capitalists know the answer to this simple question. But, our educated, enlightened votes count the very same as the woman I saw interviewed as she left an Obama campaign in Atlanta month who emotionally claimed that if he was elected she would get free gasoline and never have to pay her mortgage again. How ironic that this Chief Redistributioner himself flaunted the very campaign finance rules he once supported and agreed to, and instead bought the image of a leader in the minds of impressionable Americans using an unprecedented $200 million ad spend. In the end, democracy is it's own worst enemy. |
| CFO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 6 | I think the country just failed an IQ test. This is not the time for the country to borrow money to buy votes from poor people. The Democratic platform will stifle economic growth, unless Obama is smart enough to listen to Warren Buffet, et al. and ignores the traditional union, teacher, trial lawyer support activities. |
| President & CEO | McCain/Palin | Party Loyalty | Economic Policy | 1 | Marx nailed it with the 2nd plank of the Communist Manifesto, the graduated income tax (or lack thereof for 40 million people) is the slippery slope to socialism. With no stake in the game, they vote for the politician that promises them the most. |
| CFO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 5 | While I had some serious concerns about the McCain/Palin
ticket, I voted for McCain given my greater concerns regarding
the economic impact of Obama's articulated economic/tax policies
and the implications of an unchecked, Democrat-controlled White
House, Senate and House. Having said that, now that Obama has run, I hope he pulls further toward the center and pulls good capitalists into his administration. He certainly has the appearance of a visionary leader, who can repair the country's damaged image and who could do great things for the country with right-headed policies. |
| Business Owner | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | Now that the election is over and the vote was so decisive,
I hope Obama proves to be one of the greatest leaders our
country has ever had, that he gains the respect of everyone, and
unites us. I hope he earns the respect to change many people's
minds, just like JFK did. Ron Kindland |
| sales agent | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 4 | The country dodged a bullet not having Palin one heartbeat away. It may have....repeat may have, found the leader we get every hundred years or so. |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Environment | 8 | The Republicans are getting punished for only moving money to the big companies and very wealthy. We are a country of small companies and startups that is where our growth comes from. We need a nurturing government to expand that group not significantly increase the corporate welfare and tax benefits only for large companies. The Democrats are going to get their chance and it will work only if they move to the middle and away from Pelosi and Reid. |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | Republican party is out of touch with reality and has become a forum for Christian right. McCain was extremely weak candidate; judgment poor (Palin and campaign based on negativity) with no clear platform as how he would move country forward. Was ineffective in distinguishing himself from "Bush doctrine" and ineffective leadership demonstrated over past 8 years. Populous fed up with no leadership by President or Congress. Obama or anyone that promised "change" with a new face and the ability to speak well with people fed up had to be elected! |
| President and COO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 3 | Very nervous about Obama's true core beliefs. Seems to be
very liberal. That crowd always thinks they are smarter than the
market. And he has ZERO real experience for being an executive.
Could put a real hurt on us with Pelosi and Reid over next few
years. Hoping he moves to center but I doubt it. My gut is that
he is bad news. P.S. Love the newsletter! |
| Chief Executive | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 9 | I am: a hard core capitalist to the hilt; concerned that 8 years of Bush policies have severely damaged our country and its economic prospects. The fundamental policy changes required to reinvigorate the psyche of the country, and instill hope for the future, economic growth, and the investment required to do so, require taxation changes that do stimulate the middle class; my economic circumstances place me above the thresholds which will likely receive tax cuts; I am willingly prepared to pay more in taxes now, as part of the cost of the turnaround that is required ... when a company is re-organized and re-capitalized, common shareholders are often "wiped out" ... paying a few $'s more in taxes is a small price to willingly pay in the hopes that our economy will have an opportunity to be turned around. |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 9 | Our UK-based company trades capital goods into nearly every major market. I've been receiving 'congratulations' emails from around the world on our wise choice of a new leader. Post 9-11, we squandered the attention and sympathy of the world and turned many of our allies against us. Today America has regained respect and used wisely this will get us back into a leadership position on the world economic and human rights stage. If we screw it up again, China is ready to step in. |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Iraq/Afghanistan | Economic Policy | 7 | Obama will be a great front man - can he control the country and make any sense of the economy |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 9 | Obama is "scary-smart", thoughtful, articulate and level-headed. He faces enormous problems both at home and abroad, but I believe he has the intellect to deal with them. His philosophy on social issues is also in line with the majority of the nation. We are fortunate that he won. We should all pray for his safety. |
| Director Finance & Contracts | Obama/Biden | Iraq/Afghanistan | Economic Policy | 7 | McCain is still another Bush and that killed his chances. |
| Managing Partner | Obama/Biden | Iraq/Afghanistan | Economic Policy | 9 | McCain is a scary guy. Hard to imagine someone who manages people through fear and intimidation would not do the same with regard to foreign policy. The US is poorly regarded by most of the civilized world right now, and this affects everything: the war (who is willing to support us), the economy (who is willing to do business with us and who is willing to loan us money), security (who is willing to share information with us). Barack's inexperience is a cause for worry, but this one wasn't even close, no matter what my party loyalty. We need a leader who is bright, articulate, personable, thoughtful and willing to listen to and factor in differing opinions; we have been missing all of these for too long (and none of these are McCain strengths). |
| VP | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 7 | It is time for us all to pull together, not matter you preferred candidate, and start building our country's future. |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 9 | I work in Africa in a biofuel start-up - I can now feel safer and travel with my US passport with a greater degree of comfort, I don't have to be hanging my head so low, and certainly can stop apologizing for missteps on foreign policy, war, and the financial markets! |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 8 | I voted and did calls for Obama. I share his view that it isn't "red states and blue states...rather, the United States." I grew up in Ohio and have lived most of my adult life in Conn., NJ and California -- what a blend of red and blue! As one election night commentator said, "people concluded that it was time to end the childish food fight over ideology." I want unifying leadership, competent government and -- once again -- to be proud of the USA. I got none of the 3 with W! -- L. G. Polgar |
| Process engineer | McCain/Palin | Iraq/Afghanistan | Economic Policy | 3 | We will soon discover how much change the Obama camp has in mind for the US. Notice recently how things are going in France lately? Now we can demonstrate how French we can be! The next few years will make "liberalism" a very unpopular term, and we will long for the good old days when winners won and losers lost. |
| Executive Vice President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 6 | There is a new (younger) generation that has slightly different values and they are playing an increasingly important role in government and business. We need to figure out how to manage the change and move on. Politics is way too bipartisan today. |
| Chief Administrative Officer | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 3 | Corporate America needs to be aware of the increase in unionization that will due to Obama's support for the Employees' Free Choice Act. Be afraid; be very afraid. |
| CFO | McCain/Palin | Iraq/Afghanistan | Homeland Security | 4 | Woe is us, but we did it to ourselves. Bush did not pay enough attention to the illegal immigration issue and sold us up the river on that one. |
| President | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Party Loyalty | 5 | Eight years of the worst President in our history. His myopic view of the world has left us in ashes on many levels. McCain offered nothing new and his choice of Palin clearly proved he put himself before his country. He forgot what he stood for. We need less ideology and more balance. Obama brings that to the table. Historical fact shows that our economy and the markets do better under a Democratic administration. This was a no brainer. |
| Operations Manager | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 5 | This, too, shall pass. God is in control and He never fails. Obama will fail to be the unifying force he is purported to be and his shortcomings will be manifest. Conservatives will reform the Republicans. |
| VP, Marketing and Customer Services | Obama/Biden | Iraq/Afghanistan | Environment | 7 | I am still bothered by the fact that this country is so divided. While I am ecstatic with the outcome of the presidential election, 48 million people didn't vote for Obama. We need to stop being 2 countries and start being one country -- without a crisis like 9/11 being the cause of unity. |
| CFO | Barr | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 6 | Concerned that Obama may be too liberal from an economic point of view and also that he may not be able to control a Democratic controlled Congress. Could not vote for McCain after choice of Palin. My vote was to ensure that the non-Obama vote was meaningful enough so it could not be ignored. |
| President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 4 | Obama had an easy route to the White House since McCain was more interested in courting Independents with a very mixed message than articulating a message of enrichment for all! Certainly the economic meltdown was the icing on the cake but the Republicans have offered NO LEADERSHIP throughout. Now that the government is entirely in Democratic hands it will be interesting to see their solutions. |
| President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 3 | This country just elected a person who would fail a security clearance background check as our soon-to-be Commander in Chief! Ignorance has clearly become this country's most abundant and costly commodity. His election has eclipsed the marketing skill that gave us Bill Clinton - perception has become reality. |
| Managing Partner | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 2 | I did not vote for Obama because I believe the redistribution of wealth from those who have achieved through hard work and talent to those who have not achieved is morally wrong. I also believe in the long term it will lower the standard of living and competitiveness of this country. I did not vote for Obama because larger government and more collective action instead of self-reliance and personal responsibility inevitably will lead to a loss of individual freedom and liberty. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 8 | I am concerned about Obama's wealth transfer taxation concepts. |
| CEO & President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 7 | I just hope that enough "checks and balances" remain in effect after the election, that we don't have a wide open liberal Democrat ability to pass whatever legislation they wish. |
| Executive Creative Director, Principal | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Environment | 10 | Economic Policy, the shrinking middle class is our biggest economic threat and the Republicans don't seem to understand that. We definitely need a new foreign relations approach including Iraq and the money we have committed to this venture. |
| CEO/CFO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 3 | Obama in and of himself does not bother me; in fact, he comes across as a thoughtful, intelligent, rational (keep the emotions out of it) kind of guy. But I am highly concerned about an Obama-Pelosi-Reid triumvirate. I haven't seen any evidence that this is a man who will face down his party when they go over-the-top stupid with respect to social engineering. |
| consultant, self-employed | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 6 | The issue that most influenced my choice, as opposed to the above, was the leadership/charisma thing, ala JFK. By the way, I have been a registered Republican all my voting life. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 3 | I think the majority voted against the current economic situation and not for Liberalism but the left will obviously disagree. Unfortunately, the majority have chosen the worst possible combination to effect the change they are really looking for. Also, there will always be a portion of our society that wants something for nothing and that is what Obama represents. Capitalism will continue to flourish but uphill unfortunately. |
| President | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 4 | One of the most important things right now is for America to restore its standing in the world and take a stand once more on the principles on which it was founded. Obama's win is the promise for all of that. |
| Co-Principal | McCain/Palin | Homeland Security | Iraq/Afghanistan | 1 | I fear for our country with Obama. I am afraid of socialism, fear for Israel, fear protectionism, fear forced union membership, fear socialized medicine, appointed judges that legislate from the bench, among other fears with so much control by the liberal Democrats. |
| Managing Director | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 9 | Fundamental change is good for the overall health of the country. |
| Chairman | Swedish citizen | Environment | Economic Policy | 7 | The point is that if we do not fix the environment and energy problem we simply have future economic problems. Most of companies do not have a contingency plan for their energy supply for the next coming 10-25 years, which is extremely juvenile position. In principal 80 % of companies can go bankrupt just by the fact that they will not have access to energy for their production. |
| Not Retired | McCain/Palin | Homeland Security | Economic Policy | 2 | The recognition that the American Private Enterprise system may soon be coming to an end. This cretin who was elected will convert capitalism into European Socialism with the aid of the Congress. Our only hope is that the U.S. Senate remains "veto-proof" (if the Republicans band together) and people like Susan Collins of Maine, do not break ranks and side with the Democrats. |
| President & COO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 2 | I am surprised at the shift in American ideals
and thought processes to elect such an untested and liberal
candidate. An Obama administration marks a tectonic shift for the nation in economic policy, international military policy, energy and environment policy and healthcare policy. |
| CEO | Abstained | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | So many people today are deliriously happy or
equally deliriously sad. But no one seems quite objective. Let’s
cut the BS and sit down and try to decipher what makes sense and
what doesn’t and not go blindly with what people want. According to Churchill, “Democracy” is only “the lesser evil” of the existing political alternatives, but in my humble opinion, good common sense is a much better alternative that our “foul democracy”. The way we are going, we will soon loose our leading position in this cumbersome world, and maybe we deserve it. May God Bless America and May He Forgive our Selfish and Narrow Minded Ways. John Highland |
| Managing Director | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 2 | I am very concerned that the economic policies
that have been proposed by the Democrats and our president-elect
will drive our economy down further than it is today. It is my firm belief that it is time to build a clear concise message to ask each of our representatives to support or reject. My hope is if we start now we will be in a position to support politicians for 2010 that share the values that will bring our country economic strength and prosperity. |
| President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 4 | My only solace is that I remember living through 4 years of Carter before Reagan. |
| President | McCain/Palin | Party Loyalty | Economic Policy | 5 | One thing I like about Obama is he is smart and seems to have a steady hand when addressing the issues. Wait and see. |
| President & CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 7 | I am a Republican, but could not vote for my party when it continues to pander to the religious right (i.e. Sarah Palin) McCain is too old to not have a competent VP. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 5 | It's time for the country to pull together and support the new administration. The good news is we appear to have had two honest and well intentioned candidates. In that regard we can be optimistic about an Obama administration. All your business subscribers need to be focused on the role the unions will play in the Obama administration and be sure that fairness is built into any new legislation. |
| CEO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 4 | Capitalism is great but REGULATED capitalism is
fantastic. Taxation is great (because that's how we pay for wars, schools, roads etc.) but PROGRESSIVE taxation is fantastic (because that's the price we higher-paid-help guys pay to live in the best country in the world. Ask Warren. |
| President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 7 | We are in a number of tough places, with tough decisions and actions needed to get us out of them - slumping economy, 2 wars that we cannot actually 'win', but we can succeed and bi-partisanship at his highest level in government (behavior of the administration and congress has been embarrassing). I am hopeful the future will be better! |
| Managing Partner | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | Wait and see if the pragmatism of the office takes hold. I am more deeply concerned about the ultra liberal Congress than the Presidency. Failure to resolve the energy issue with a multifaceted plan will increase the cost of our economy and push more people out of work. |
| Vice President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 6 | I seriously wonder if four years from now we
are completely healed or asking ourselves what have we done.
This feels like a watershed moment -is it fleeting or truly so?
The only nice thing this time is that it was decisive and not divisive. Only in America... |
| President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 6 | The new administration will be challenged more than any in the last few decades. It will take strong leadership to get us back on track. We are all pulling for our next President. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 6 | I am optimistic that Obama is as smart as he appears, that he will recognize that this is still a center right country and his mandate on change applies equally to both extremes. I'm less confident that the congressional leadership will come to this same conclusion and thus I have hope that Obama will temper their efforts. |
| Director | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 8 | Events of the last two years have demonstrated the philosophical and economic bankruptcy of unbridled and irresponsible pure market capitalism. Attention matters. Competence matters. I don't care where or with whom Barack Obama wants to have sex if he can come close to replicating Bill Clinton's performance on economic growth, job creation, median income growth, deficit reduction and fiscal responsibility. |
| CEO | Barr | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 3 | Both parties have become corrupt to the point it could destroy our currency, economic and social system and country. They need a good dose of honesty with themselves and their fellow citizens. |
| VP Finance | Obama/Biden | Race | Race | 5 | Leadership, Leadership and more Leadership. I like John McCain and what he stood for BEFORE the party took him down. |
| Chairman / Principal | Obama/Biden | Environment | Economic Policy | 6 | Clearly defining our national character indeed the perspective of our citizens and that of the rest of the globe requires aspirational goals, and tangible metrics to ignite the revolution in thinking and actions. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 4 | We have started down the path to socialism - and I'm not happy about it. |
| VP, HR | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Economic Policy | 7 | John McCain's tendency to grandstand and his VP pick was a considerable issue; he should have spent less time focused on personalities and more on the issues. |
| Partner | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 4 | Like almost everyone else, I am thrilled and
elated that our country has elected its first non-white
president. This is a great symbol of all that we stand for as a
nation. However, I voted for McCain because I do not think Obama's policies are best for our country, nor do I like the idea of handing the presidency over to the party whose Congressional leaders have largely created the housing mess and financial crisis with their recklessness over the last fifteen years. |
| Sr. V.P. | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 4 | The Republicans ran an unqualified VP and this was a big issue for me given McCain's age and potential health issues. |
| CEO | McCain/Palin | Iraq/Afghanistan | Economic Policy | 5 | We can have serious economic problems for generations to come if Obama sticks to his socialist European financial course he laid out during his campaign. |
| Vice President | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 4 | The past eight years have nearly ruined this economy and country. We could not afford four more of the same. |
| Assistant Treasurer | McCain/Palin | Homeland Security | Economic Policy | 7 | Adversity brings out the best in us... |
| Vice President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 3 | We'll get through it. The more he over-reaches, the sooner sanity will return. My greatest concern is about the Supreme Court where more lasting damage can be done. |
| President | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 2 | Republicans blew it! They did not follow the conservative agenda and the principles they said they stood for, and lost touch with their constituents. We now will have to pay for this by letting the far left ruin our economy and eliminate what decent jobs we still have left. |
| CFO | McCain/Palin | Homeland Security | Economic Policy | 3 | I can't believe that the "great electorate" chose a rank amateur for president in these times of crisis. |
| COO | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 10 | Still can't believe it. O-B-A-M-A |
| CEO/Chairman | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 4 | If Obama seeks collaborative change we are okay, if he drops into the pockets of the Unions and the American Bar we are in trouble. Problem #1 is the economy and raising taxes won't fix it....be interesting to see what he does. Immigration is the other huge problem in America, wonder what he will do about that? |
| Chairman & CEO | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Iraq/Afghanistan | 5 | Our biggest danger ahead: The future of our Planet is a matter of great concern, about which the new group seems to remain blissfully unaware. |
| VP Finance | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 6 | We flourish as a national when we adhere to the basic principles of capitalism by working hard and encouraging investment. We must make sure we provide the right incentives to people so that hard work and risk taking are rewarded. |
| Chief Estimator | McCain/Palin | Homeland Security | Party Loyalty | 5 | Can't understand why the communist line "Share the Wealth" sells in America. |
| President | Obama/Biden | Economic Policy | Healthcare | 8 | Worldwide surveys indicated that an overwhelming majority of residents of other countries prefer Obama. By choosing Obama the USA indicated it is ready for change and will now be able to alter its international reputation and standing. This should a positive catalyst to improve economic and homeland security. |
| VP, GM | McCain/Palin | Economic Policy | Homeland Security | 4 | Obama deserves a chance...and not that the GOP didn't self destruct and early on, let McCain down...allowing Obama to gain momentum that could not be undone once the economy sunk...but my worry is we have franchised, officially, the fringe and the entitlement , spend what we don't have, mind set that is ruining this nation. It will be a critical first year, and Obama hardly has a clean slate to start from...but the backlash will be severe I predict in elections 2 years form now if he doe snot keep near center...even left of center...on his direction. If he can not rein in the fringe in the em party...if the issue becomes more social than economic, he'll find getting 2% more votes than Kerry is clearly not a mandate for him, but was one against the status quo, and not a compelling one at that. |
